Thoughts for Labor Day Weekend
As you engage with friends and family this weekend, think about how you want to show up. We often find true communication and connection difficult. Sometimes we jump to conclusions without truly listening to the other person. Sometimes we are so intent on being right that we don't even want to listen to a competing thought. Sometimes we make a judgement about WHO a person is based on a few comments that we may even have misinterpreted.
This quote from Mahatma Gandhi might serve as a reminder to approach interactions with others with respect and open minds. Try to focus on finding common ground rather than amplifying your differences. You might learn something new if you communicate with curiosity.
